EASTSIDE SERVICES PTY. LTD is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee and manage end-to-end production operations in our high-volume food manufacturing facility located in Yennora NSW.

This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and compliant operation of large scale manufacturing processes involved in the production of breadcrumbs, bulk crumbing and coating products, including production scheduling, process improvement, resource management, quality assurance, and workforce supervision.

Task & responsibilities

The Production Manager will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following duties:

• Lead and manage daily factory production operations across high-volume breadcrumb processing and coating lines, ensuring production output targets are met.
• Develop, implement, and manage production plans and schedules aligned with customer demand, labour availability, operational efficiency and cost controls.
• Oversee processing and packaging operations, including industrial systems for drying, milling, blending, batching and packaging.
• Monitor and analyse production performance and KPIs, including throughput, labour efficiency, downtime, cost of production, yields, and waste reduction initiatives.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance productivity, quality, and resource usage.
• Coordinate planned maintenance activities and production scheduling to minimise breakdowns and ensure equipment reliability and availability.
• Ensure strict compliance with food manufacturing standards including HACCP and internal quality assurance systems, while maintaining consistent product quality.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) standards across all production and factory operations, including safe operation of industrial machinery.
• Maintain accurate production documentation including batch records, production reports, labour utilisation records, safety and quality logs.
• Supervise and support production staff including shift/line supervisors and factory personnel, ensuring adequate training, adherence to processes, and performance management.
• Work closely with internal teams including Quality Assurance, Procurement, Logistics, and Management to align production output with business requirements.
• Support installation, commissioning, and integration of new machinery, automation, and process technology into production operations.

Qualification & experience

• Demonstrated experience in production/operations management within industrial or large-scale food manufacturing environments.
• Strong capability in production planning, workforce coordination, cost control and continuous improvement.
• Sound knowledge of food safety standards and quality control systems (HACCP experience highly regarded).
• Strong understanding of WHS obligations in industrial manufacturing settings.
• Proven leadership capability managing teams in a production environment and enforcing operational compliance.
