Metal Fabricator

We are seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator (ANZSCO 322311) to join our Ingleburn workshop. The successful candidate will fabricate, assemble and finish metal components to engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring high standards of accuracy, safety and product quality. Task & responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, templates and material specifications
• Measure, mark out, cut, shape and form metal components using hand tools and machines
• Operate welding equipment (MIG/TIG/Stick) and carry out structural and sheetmetal welding
• Bend, roll, punch, shear and press metal using press brakes and rolling machines
• Assemble, fit and finish fabricated parts; perform grinding, deburring and surface prep
• Conduct routine equipment checks and maintain a clean, safe workshop
• Ensure completed work meets quality control and WHS requirements
• Liaise with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules

Qualification & experience

• Proven experience as a Metal Fabricator or similar role (minimum 2–3 years preferred)
• Competent in welding (MIG/TIG/Stick) and other fabrication techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and templates
• Strong hand skills and use of fabrication machinery (press brake, roller, guillotine, plasma/table saw etc.)
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills and reliability
• Valid relevant trade certificate / qualification or equivalent experience
