Fleet Manager

Punjab Logistics Pty Ltd T/A GPS Transport Solutions is seeking an experienced and organised Fleet Manager to oversee and coordinate its transport fleet operations in New South Wales. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient fleet utilisation, vehicle compliance, maintenance scheduling, and operational performance while supporting safe and reliable transport services.

Task & responsibilities

• Organising and coordinating the purchase, maintenance, servicing, inspections, and repair schedules of transport vehicles, equipment, and fuel requirements
• Monitoring fleet performance, fuel usage, operational costs, and driver productivity
• Ensuring compliance with transport regulations, fatigue management, and workplace safety requirements
• Supervising drivers and transport staff while supporting operational efficiency
• Maintaining fleet records, registrations, permits, and compliance documentation
• Planning and implementing transport schedules and route coordination
• Liaising with customers, suppliers, mechanics, and service providers regarding transport operations
• Investigating operational issues and implementing corrective actions where required
• Assisting management with budgeting, reporting, and operational planning
• Monitoring workplace health and safety standards across fleet operations
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of drivers and operational staff

Qualification & experience

• Diploma or higher qualification in Logistics, Transport Management, Business, or a related field preferred
• At least one year of relevant full-time experience in fleet management, logistics coordination, or transport operations may substitute for formal qualifications
• Strong knowledge of transport compliance, fatigue management, and road safety regulations
• Experience managing heavy vehicle fleets and transport scheduling
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Ability to analyse operational performance and improve fleet efficiency
• Proficiency in transport management systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple operational priorities
