Task & responsibilities

Operating heavy vehicles safely for transportation of freight, bulk haulage materials, and equipment
Loading, securing, transporting, and unloading goods in accordance with safety procedures
Conducting routine vehicle inspections before and after trips
Monitoring vehicle condition and reporting maintenance or repair requirements
Maintaining delivery records, logbooks, and transport documentation accurately
Ensuring compliance with fatigue management, road transport laws, and workplace safety regulations
Planning delivery routes and schedules to meet operational deadlines
Communicating professionally with dispatch staff, customers, and site personnel
Checking load weights and ensuring safe load distribution
Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and operational presentation standards
Following company procedures, transport policies, and safety protocols
Assisting with general transport and operational duties as required

Qualification & experience

Valid HR, HC, or MC heavy vehicle driver licence
Certificate II or III in Driving Operations is desirable but not mandatory
Minimum 1-3 year of relevant truck driving experience preferred
Good understanding of transport compliance, fatigue management, and road safety regulations
Ability to operate heavy vehicles safely and efficiently
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and meet delivery schedules
Physically fit and capable of handling transport-related duties
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety standards
