Welder 1st Class

Due to strong consistent demand we are looking for a qualified welder- First Class / fabricator who shares our mission for an immediate start at our modern factory in Campbellfield Victoria. 

This is an ongoing Full-time position Monday to Friday with overtime as and when available.

To be eligible you must have

• Must have at least 4 years of experience in a similar role as a Welder /Metal fabricator
• Equivalent trade certificates in welding/Fabrication and or equivalent years of work experience.

Task & responsibilities

To be successful in this position you must have the following skills:

• Reading and understanding job specifications/drawings
• Weld Chassis components and assemblies applying welding principles and safe welding practices using appropriate tools and welding equipment
• Fabricating Cutting and shaping caravan Chassis
• Gluing and bolting chassis fitting axles suspension brakes handles locks and hinges
• cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding
• Review of finished assemblies and parts to ensure accuracy against drawings and BOMs
• Apply OHS principles in the work environment
• Participate and attend cross functional meetings as required
• Organise and communicate Information with a strong attention to detail
• Strong previous experience within the steel fabrication environment
