Finance Manager (Commercial) | DC Operations

Our client is a large-scale Australian business operating one of the country’s most complex and fast-moving supply chain networks. With significant operational reach, high volume logistics movements and a strong investment into transformation and continuous improvement, this is an environment where commercially minded finance professionals can genuinely influence decision making and operational performance.
  
Opportunity:
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this role sits at the intersection of finance, operations and supply chain performance. 

The role will suit someone who enjoys balancing detail with big picture thinking, whilst operating inside a fast-paced business with moving parts across multiple sites and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with operational and supply chain leaders to improve financial and operational performance
• Deliver meaningful commercial insights across logistics, fleet and distribution operations
• Analyse large data sets and turn complex information into practical business recommendations
• Support budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning processes
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance and operations
• Influence decision-making around productivity, cost management and operational efficiency
• Support major projects, investment decisions and business case analysis

About You

• Proven commercial finance experience within supply chain, logistics or distribution environments
• Exposure to large fleet operations or transport-intensive businesses is highly regarded
• Strong ability to interpret operational data and tell the story behind the numbers
• Commercially sharp with the ability to influence non-financial stakeholders
• Comfortable operating in complex, fast-moving and high-volume environments
• Able to balance hands-on detail with broader strategic thinking
