We believe that great dentistry starts with great people, which is why we're looking for an experienced Practice Manager who can inspire teams, drive operational excellence and be the face of our practice.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation where your hands-on leadership will directly influence patient outcomes, team engagement and business success. As the face of the practice, you will lead the team from the front, ensuring patients receive outstanding service, clinicians are fully supported and the practice operates efficiently and consistently every day.

Working closely with the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for team leadership, reception excellence, clinician scheduling, rostering, implementation of protocols and overall practice performance.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Experience & Reception Leadership

  • Be the face of the practice and lead a patient-first culture

  • Ensure every patient receives an exceptional experience from enquiry through to treatment completion

  • Manage patient concerns and escalations professionally and effectively

  • Monitor patient feedback and implement improvements where required

  • Maintain a professional and welcoming practice environment

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach and mentor reception and clinical support teams

  • Foster a positive, accountable and high-performing culture

  • Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one coaching sessions

  • Drive team engagement, accountability and performance

Practice Operations

  • Implement and maintain practice protocols, systems and procedures

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards

  • Identify operational inefficiencies and implement improvements

  • Oversee stock management and equipment maintenance processes

  • Ensure the practice runs efficiently and consistently across all areas

Rostering & Clinician Schedule Management

  • Create and manage team rosters to ensure appropriate staffing levels

  • Manage clinician schedules to maximise productivity and patient access

  • Monitor appointment books and proactively identify opportunities to improve utilisation

  • Work closely with clinicians to ensure schedules align with practice goals

Reporting & Performance

  • Monitor key performance indicators including production, collections, treatment acceptance, new patients and patient retention

  • Prepare and submit regular reports to the Regional Manager

  • Assist in implementing business initiatives and growth strategies

  • Analyse practice performance and identify opportunities for improvement

  • Support the achievement of financial and operational targets

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience as a Dental Practice Manager, Senior Dental Receptionist, Clinical Coordinator or similar leadership role within a dental practice

  • Strong understanding of dental practice operations and workflows

  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills

  • A passion for delivering outstanding patient experiences

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Experience managing rosters and clinician schedules

  • Confidence implementing systems, protocols and accountability measures

  • Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills

  • Strong computer literacy and experience using dental practice management software

Essential Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a leadership role within a dental practice

  • Experience managing patient enquiries, appointment books and treatment coordination

  • Experience leading and developing teams

  • Strong understanding of practice KPIs and business performance measures
