We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Claims Admin Coordinator to support our Legal & Risk function and partner closely with our Operations team across VIC.
About the Role
Reporting to the Legal & Risk Analyst, you will manage and investigate claims arising from freight damage, loss in transit, subcontractor liability and customer disputes. You will gather evidence, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, prepare claim documentation, and support insurer communications and recovery actions.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and enjoys problem-solving, investigation work, and stakeholder management.
What You Will Do
Register, assess and coordinate claims related to freight damage, loss and liability
Conduct investigations with drivers, subcontractors, depot managers and operations teams
Collect and verify evidence including PODs, photos, manifests, GPS and CCTV
Determine initial liability and provide recommendations to the Legal & Risk Analyst
Prepare claims files and documentation for insurers, brokers and legal partners
Initiate and track recoveries with subcontractors and third parties
Maintain the claims register and ensure accurate data and reporting
Provide regular updates to stakeholders on claim status and required actions
Support continuous improvement, risk reduction and operational best practice initiatives.
Liaise with external and internal stakeholders regularly.
Provide monthly and quarterly report to management
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Essential
Experience in claims, investigations or transport/logistics operations
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Solid understanding of evidence gathering and documentation
Desirable
Exposure to freight operations, liability, insurance or recoveries
Experience working with claims or incident management systems
Qualifications in logistics, business, law, insurance or similar
