Production and Warehouse Manager

LawrieCo | Liquid fertiliser production | Hands-on operations role

LawrieCo is seeking a capable, practical and hands-on Production and Warehouse Manager to lead our liquid fertiliser production, warehouse, inventory and dispatch operations.

This is a key operational leadership role suited to someone who can manage people, production, stock, safety, compliance and dispatch, while also being willing to step onto the floor and help get the job done when needed.

The role is focused primarily on liquid fertiliser production, including batching, mixing, filling, decanting, packing, storage and dispatch. LawrieCo also handles some Dangerous Goods and chemical materials, so safe handling, correct storage, SDS awareness, PPE and compliance are important parts of the role.

About LawrieCo

LawrieCo is a South Australian agricultural business providing fertiliser, biological and soil health solutions to growers. We are focused on practical, effective products and programs that support productivity, soil function and long-term farm outcomes.

About the role

As Production and Warehouse Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of LawrieCo's liquid fertiliser production and warehouse functions.

You will manage production scheduling, batch accuracy, inventory control, warehouse organisation, staff supervision, dispatch, equipment use, safety standards and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

· Manage daily liquid fertiliser production, including batching, mixing, filling, decanting, packing and labelling.

· Ensure products are manufactured to approved formulas, batch records, SOPs and quality requirements.

· Plan and coordinate production workflow to meet customer order deadlines.

· Lead, supervise, train and support production and warehouse staff, casual labour and contractors working onsite.

· Oversee receivals, stock storage, picking, packing, loading and dispatch.

· Maintain accurate ERP records, order milestones, stock movements, batch records and dispatch documentation.

· Manage inventory accuracy, stocktakes, consumables, packaging, IBCs, drums, labels and production supplies.

· Ensure safe handling, storage and movement of liquid fertilisers, raw materials, chemicals and Dangerous Goods.

· Coordinate internal quality control, including product sampling, testing, issue reporting and corrective action.

· Maintain and improve SOPs for production, warehouse, DG handling, cleaning, dispatch and quality control.

About you

· Experience in production, warehousing, manufacturing, agriculture, fertiliser, chemicals, liquids or a similar operational environment.

· Minimum 1-2 years total production/manufacturing experience required.

· Minimum 1-2 years of proven experience in production planning and scheduling within a manufacturing environment, ideally in a supervisory or management capacity.

· Minimum 1-2 years of demonstrated experience in warehouse management, including inventory control, stock rotation and logistics coordination.

· Minimum 1-2 years of leadership experience with a track record of effectively supervising and developing team members.

· A practical, hands-on leader who can manage the floor, not just the paperwork.

· Strong understanding of batch accuracy, product quality, stock control and dispatch reliability.

· Safety awareness around chemicals, DG materials, equipment and manual handling.

· Comfortable working with bulk liquids, pumps, hoses, tanks, IBCs and drums.

· Clear, fair leadership style with the ability to set standards for safety, productivity and accountability.

· Good computer skills and confidence using ERP or inventory systems.

· Calm, organised and practical when production priorities change.

Essential or strongly preferred

· Current forklift licence and unrestricted driver's licence.

· Experience in liquid production, chemical handling, fertiliser production, batching, blending or filling.

· Experience handling bulk liquids with pumps and hoses.

· Understanding of inventory, stocktaking and warehouse procedures.

· Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets and PPE requirements.

· Dangerous Goods or chemical handling/storage experience.

· Mechanical aptitude and basic equipment maintenance ability.

Highly regarded

· DG awareness training.

· AQIS / biosecurity approved premises experience.

· Confined space certificate.

· Experience with organically registered goods or regulated product storage.

· First aid training.

· Agriculture industry knowledge.

What we offer

· A key leadership role in a growing South Australian agricultural business.

· Hands-on, varied work with real responsibility.

· Opportunity to improve systems, processes and team performance.

· Supportive team environment.

· Competitive salary based on experience.
