We’re looking for a hands-on Computer Officer – ICT to join our Technology team. If you enjoy solving problems, working with hardware and systems and helping students bring their learning to life, this could be a great fit for you.

This role plays a key part in keeping ICT labs running smoothly and safely, while also contributing to innovative technical solutions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and support ICT infrastructure across student learning environments
  • Configure and manage Windows and Linux and standard operating environments
  • Assist with cabling, hardware setup, troubleshooting and repairs
  • Support the full lifecycle of ICT equipment — from purchasing through to disposal
  • Contribute to practical learning activities and technical training setups
  • Maintain system documentation and lab resources
  • Work closely with teaching staff to enhance student learning outcomes

You’ll be working with students in a learning environment — helping them experiment, troubleshoot, and build their technical skills in real time.

About You

You’re a practical and driven IT professional who takes initiative, enjoys hands on work and is passionate about delivering reliable solutions.  You’re approachable, curious and thrive in an environment where you can support others while building your own capability.

You’ll succeed in this role if you:

  • Have 2 or more years hands on experience with IT infrastructure (servers, hardware, cabling)
  • Bring strong knowledge of Windows environments (both desktop and server) and Linux operating systems
  • Enjoy troubleshooting and finding practical, effective solutions
  • Communicate confidently with students, teachers and stakeholders
  • Are collaborative, reliable and enjoy working as part of a team
  • Are organised and able to manage multiple technical tasks and priorities
  • Bring curiosity, initiative and a willingness to learn and grow
  • Certificate III/IV or Diploma in IT (or equivalent experience)

You’ll join a small Technology team based at East Geelong, supporting students studying Digital and ICT programs. The team is collaborative, practical, and focused on delivering high quality learning experiences.

Salary Range:

PACCT Level 4 - $70,741 - $74,330 p.a pro rata + Superannuation

Part time 0.6 (22.8 hours per week) ongoing

Typically worked across Monday, Tuesday and Friday, with some flexibility around days by mutual agreement.
