SAP Technical Design and Build Lead

Compas is seeking a Technical Design and Build Lead to join a Federal Government Department for a long-term engagement. The role requires experience in SAP BTP, ABAP development, and build activities, supported by strong architectural expertise to address complex design issues and support delivery.

• Initial contract till June 2027
• NV1 Clearance or the ability to obtain one quickly
• Canberra or Melbourne

The Technical Design and Build Lead will utilise previous Build SAP Solution experience and knowledge to support the Technical Integration and Build by providing system build support and technical solution architecture advice and guidance relating to the systems introduced by the ERP Program.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide SAP Subject Matter Expertise to the Business, Technical SAP depth and leadership while leveraging S/4HANA, BW/4HANA and Cloud based solution integration knowledge
• Drive and support standardisation of build and technical design/architect methodologies, tools and technique/approach supporting Delivery Leadership to plan
• Responsible for balancing the quality of proposed Systems Integrator (SI) technical solutions and system build requirements with SAP Clean Core principles
• Ensure and support the development of modern ICT architectures across all domains of the enterprise architecture including infrastructure and platforms, security, applications, integration, network, mobility and end user computing.

Desired Skills and Experience

• 10+ years of demonstrated complex SAP technical solution and Build experience in SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC 6 Modules, Cloud base services.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience and strong understanding of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), ABAP development, and SAP Clean Core principles
• Demonstrated experience in the use and implementation of SAP test automation and synthetic data creation solutions, including hands-on solution coding experience
