Graphic and Digital Designer

About the role:
This is a full-time role; 3 days in the office, 2 days from home (pending approval). You will need to be comfortable working with a lot of autonomy and also have the skills to collaborate with our team of designers, web developers and content creators.

On a day to day basis, you’ll be:

• Creating perfect press-ready art and a variety of print collateral

• Creating brand identities and developing logos

• Designing website layouts, with a strong emphasis on UX

• Designing email campaigns (HTML experience a bonus)

• Designing digital banner ads and social media graphics

• Maintaining and updating existing websites via a CMS

• Assisting with internal marketing campaigns

• Working with a team of in-house designers, web developers and writers to deliver projects on time and to brief

• Liaising directly with clients and vendors

About you:

We’re looking for someone with 4-5 years experience with a good understanding of branding and layout across print and digital. You’ll have experience crafting brand identities, creating design concepts, sometimes coding HTML/CSS (not a lot) and show a high attention to detail.

The nitty-gritty:

• You MUST be an Australian Resident to apply.

• You’ll need excellent written and verbal communication skills and be confident to present an idea.

• Have in-depth knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.

• Show strong attention to detail, have excellent problem solving skills and an ability to think on your feet.

• Ability to take a brief and work from concept to finished art under (sometimes ridiculous) deadlines.

• Ability to work autonomously, manage your own workflow and time-keeping and take on multiple projects at a time.

• Able to manage timesheets and work to budgets.

• You’ll be liaising with clients and our team daily (via email, phone calls and in-person meetings), so an outgoing, confident and friendly attitude is a must.

• An understanding of UX/UI, HTML/CSS or video editing would be highly regarded!

What we want to see next:

• A stunning portfolio with examples of print and digital design that you can talk through.

• A minimum 4-5 years’ experience in similar roles.

• A positive, can-do attitude!
