Lead Technical Officer NV2

Sydney | Defence Program | Onsite | 12-Month+ Contract

A major Defence program is seeking an experienced Lead Technical Officer (NV2) to manage a high-performing technical support team responsible for mission-critical ICT systems in secure, deployed, and high-assurance environments.

This is an operational support role rather than a project delivery or architecture position and would suit candidates who have experince with Defence/ secure networks and enjoy troubleshooting, maintaining, administering and supporting complex enterprise networks

What you'll bring:

• Strong leadership experience in a support or service desk environment
• Deep knowledge of Exchange, Active Directory, Skype, Citrix and hypervisor administration
• Experience in Defence ICT operations and ITIL-aligned processes
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills

Highly regarded:

• Experience with Fortinet, Cisco, HYCU, Titus, Ivanti, Red Hat, Tanium, Carbon Black, Elastic
• Knowledge of containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• Experience in secure, regulated environments and major incident management

Work arrangement:

• Sydney based, onsite
• Standard business hours + on-call

• NV2 clearance mandatory
