PowerPlus Energy is Australia's largest manufacturer of battery modules for stationary storage application. We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Head of Technology to lead our technical direction and drive innovation across our energy storage solutions.

Reporting to the Executive Chairman, this senior role will oversee product strategy, technical support, and standards compliance—ensuring our solutions remain high-performing, market-aligned, and customer-focused.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Lead technical strategy aligned with business goals and industry trends
Oversee product integration, compliance, and performance
Drive continuous improvement across products, systems, and services
Lead national technical support (pre- and post-sales)
Deliver high-quality outcomes for customers, partners, and stakeholders
Support major projects and build strong industry partnerships
Mentor and develop a high-performing technical team

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential

Extensive experience within renewable energy, battery storage or power systems industries.
Strong technical understanding of battery systems, power electronics, communications integration and energy systems.
Proven leadership of technical, engineering or support teams.
Demonstrated experience in technical support, compliance and product integration.
Excellent communication, presentation and problem-solving skills.
Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking capability.

Desirable

Experience in product development or manufacturing environments.
Public speaking or conference presentation experience.
Experience within fast-growing or innovation-driven technology businesses.
Electrical, engineering or renewable energy qualifications.
