Data Lead

The ICT Data Lead is responsible for analysing business and customer data requirements and supporting the delivery of scalable data and platform solutions across customer delivery, platform operations, product intelligence and strategic decision-making.

The role works with customers and internal teams to define business requirements, translate asset, property, infrastructure and operational datasets into actionable intelligence, and support implementation of data-driven platform solutions.

Task & responsibilities

•    Analyse business operations, processes and stakeholder requirements to identify opportunities for technology-enabled improvement. 

•    Elicit, analyse and document business, functional and system requirements for customer implementations and platform enhancements. 

•    Conduct business process analysis and prepare process maps, workflow documentation, business requirements specifications and functional requirements documentation. 

•    Act as the primary liaison between customers, business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure requirements are accurately understood and translated into system solutions. 

•    Lead business analysis activities for customer onboarding, implementation and platform deployment projects. 

•    Gather, analyse and document requirements relating to data migration, cleansing, mapping, transformation, validation and integration activities. 

•    Support solution design activities by working closely with Product, Engineering and Delivery teams to develop scalable platform solutions. 

•    Evaluate existing systems, business processes and operational workflows and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, usability and customer outcomes. 

•    Develop and maintain documentation, implementation methodologies, standards and governance frameworks supporting customer delivery and platform operations. 

•    Coordinate user acceptance testing, solution validation and implementation activities to ensure solutions meet documented business requirements. 

•    Support reporting, analytics and business intelligence initiatives to assist operational and strategic decision-making. 

•    Identify opportunities for automation, workflow optimisation and improved use of technology across customer and internal operations.

Qualification & experience

•    Relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline. 

•    Experience in business analysis, data analysis, implementation delivery, requirements gathering, process improvement or enterprise data operations. 

•    Strong SQL, data interpretation and requirements analysis capability. 

•    Experience with BI/reporting tools. 

•    Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. 

•    Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Operations and customer-facing teams. 

•    SaaS experience highly regarded.
