Software Engineer

We are seeking skilled and motivated Junior Software Engineers to join our dynamic development team. In this role, you will design, develop, test, implement, and maintain software applications and systems in accordance with industry standards

• Design, develop, modify, test, implement, and maintain software applications and systems in line with functional and technical specifications
• Utilise programming languages, frameworks, and established development tools including C#, SQL, REST APIs, WCF, SOAP, and .NET / .NET Core (Web development)
• Research, analyse, and evaluate system requirements to provide effective technical solutions to business needs
• Identify system limitations, design gaps, and deficiencies, and propose improvements to enhance system functionality and performance
• Write, maintain, and optimise program code in accordance with quality standards and development guidelines
• Test, debug, diagnose, and resolve software defects to ensure all features are fully functional and meet performance expectations
• Conduct code reviews to identify performance issues, reusability opportunities, and anomalies
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including program specifications, user documentation, and operational procedures
• Assess, troubleshoot, upgrade, and develop maintenance procedures for applications and systems
• Assist in improving software configuration management processes and support continuous integration and delivery practices
• Manage and support testing processes, including automation and deployment activities
• Monitor and analyse operational metrics to identify areas for continuous improvement
• Contribute to the development of tools and processes supporting software deployment, management, and security
• Identify and mitigate risks affecting system performance, reliability, and security across the software lifecycle

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor or higher relevent qualification in ICT. 
• 5 years of work experience may subtitute relevant qualifications
• Proven one year of more of work experience with qualification
• Proven experience in software development using C#, .NET / .NET Core, SQL, REST APIs, WCF, and SOAP
• Strong understanding of full software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
• Experience in debugging, performance tuning, and optimisation of applications
• Knowledge of system architecture, security controls, and risk mitigation strategies
