React & Figma Designer Engineer

Task & responsibilities

UI/UX Design

•    Design responsive, visually appealing interfaces using Figma for both consumer and B2B contexts.

•    Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs with a strong focus on user journeys and end-to-end experience quality.

•    Translate complex product requirements into clear, intuitive design solutions that balance business goals with user needs.

•    Participate in user experience testing — gathering feedback, synthesising insights, and iterating designs with the team and real users to achieve outstanding outcomes.

•    Maintain and evolve design systems and component libraries in Figma to ensure consistency across products.

Front-End Development

•    Develop, optimise, and maintain React components with dynamic, personalised styling that is architecturally well-structured and thoroughly documented.

•    Implement Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible code with high fidelity to the original design intent.

•    Write clean, maintainable, and performant code in line with engineering best practices, including appropriate test coverage.

•    Contribute to front-end architecture decisions, advocating for scalable, reusable component design patterns.

•    Debug and resolve issues across the stack, ensuring a consistently high-quality user experience across devices and browsers

Collaboration & Delivery

•    Work closely with product managers, designers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure cohesive, aligned design and development.

•    Actively participate in agile ceremonies — standups, sprint planning, design reviews, and retrospectives — contributing constructively to team process improvement.

•    Communicate design rationale and technical decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

•    Contribute to the full product lifecycle from discovery to delivery, upholding high-quality standards across design, code, and documentation.

•    Support knowledge sharing within the team, including peer code reviews and design critiques.

Qualification & experience

•    Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in both React development and Figma UI/UX design.

•    Demonstrated ability to design and build responsive, accessible web and mobile applications with strong attention to detail.

•    Proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript, React (including hooks and component architecture), CSS/SCSS, and HTML5.

•    Strong command of Figma, including auto-layout, components, variants, and design systems.

•    Solid understanding of UX principles, accessibility standards (WCAG), and responsive design patterns.

•    Experience implementing designs that match pixel-perfectly across major browsers and devices.

•    Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to self-manage workload and prioritise effectively.

•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-first mindset.
