About the role
Reporting to the IT/Engineering lead, the Developer Programmer will interpret business requirements, technical designs and flow charts, then build, maintain and modify code for Tibii's internal applications and customer-facing platforms. You will work end-to-end across the software lifecycle — from requirements through deployment, testing and post-release support — with a strong focus on quality, security and continuous delivery.
Key responsibilities
Interpret specifications, technical designs and flow charts to build, maintain and modify code for Tibii's software applications.
Construct technical specifications, including cyber-security controls, from business functional models.
Test, debug, diagnose and correct errors in application code within established testing protocols, guidelines and quality standards to ensure programs perform to specification.
Write and maintain program code that meets system requirements, system designs and technical specifications in accordance with quality-accredited standards.
Write, update and maintain technical program documentation, end-user documentation and operational procedures.
Provide advice, guidance and expertise on software design proposals, including financial evaluation and costings for software purchases and upgrades.
Manage testing and automation of software and application deployments (CI/CD).
Develop continuous-improvement and continuous-delivery strategies across system design and software development.
Identify and mitigate risks affecting performance and security throughout the product lifecycle.
Collaborate with operations, compliance and clinical teams to translate business needs into reliable, secure software.
Essential skills and qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a closely related ICT discipline — or equivalent demonstrable experience (minimum 5 years) with relevant vendor certifications.
Strong commercial experience (3+ years) in application development using one or more of: JavaScript / TypeScript, Python, C#/.NET, Java, PHP.
Hands-on experience with modern frameworks such as React, Next.js, Node.js, .NET Core, Django or Spring Boot.
Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB), API design (REST/GraphQL) and integration patterns.
Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions), automated testing and code-review practices.
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP) — deploying, monitoring and securing applications.
Familiarity with secure coding practices, OWASP Top 10 and applicable Australian privacy/data-protection requirements.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Eligibility to work in Australia. Visa sponsorship (Subclass 482 / 186) is available for the right candidate.
Desirable
Exposure to NDIS, healthcare or regulated-industry software.
Experience integrating with platforms such as Xero, HubSpot, Stripe, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Zapier or Composio.
Experience working with AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) and AI-assisted automation.
Knowledge of Agile / Scrum delivery and product-management tooling (Azure DevOps, Trello, GitHub).
What we offer
Competitive salary package: $85,000 base + 12% superannuation (total package ≈ $95,200), commensurate with experience.

About Tibii and the Role
Tibii Pty Ltd is an Australian-owned disability support services provider operating across South Australia and Western Australia, delivering NDIS-registered Supported Independent Living, community participation and specialist support services to participants with complex needs. Headquartered in North Adelaide, we combine compassionate frontline care with a modern, technology-led back office — investing heavily in proprietary software, AI-assisted operations and integrated cloud platforms to lift the quality, safety and efficiency of every service we deliver. As we scale, we are building an in-house engineering capability to design and maintain the digital platforms that power our CRM, rostering, billing, compliance and participant-facing tools. We're looking for a Developer Programmer to join this team in Adelaide, take ownership of code across our application stack, and help shape the technology backbone of a fast-growing, purpose-driven business.
