Developer Programmer

The role is responsible for analysing user requirements and designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications within integrated technology environments. Working across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), the Developer Programmer will develop backend services, APIs, and user-facing applications, ensuring effective system integration and reliable software performance.

Task & responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Analyse user requirements, technical specifications, and system architecture to design software solutions that meet business and operational needs.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain application code using programming languages such as Python, C#, JavaScript, Node.js, and Lua.
• Develop backend services and communication modules, including RESTful APIs and integrations using JSON, TCP/IP, and UDP, to support interoperability between systems and devices.
• Design and implement user interfaces and web-based applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for control dashboards and end-user interaction.
• Modify, enhance, and maintain existing software applications to improve functionality, performance, and scalability.
• Test, debug, diagnose, and resolve software defects to ensure reliability, security, and performance.
• Conduct unit testing and integration testing to validate software functionality against technical specifications.
• Maintain version control practices and support software releases and updates across multiple environments.
• Analyse system constraints and contribute to software architecture and technical solution design.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, code documentation, and user guides.
• Investigate and resolve complex software issues to ensure application performance and reliability.

Qualification & experience

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related ICT field and have at least 3 years of relevant experience
