Position: Telecommunications Technical Officer (Full-Time)

Salary: $85,000 per year + Superannuation

Working Hours: 38 hours per week

Location: 16 Clovertree Street, Tarneit, VIC-3029.

Experience: Minimum 1 year in a similar role

Task & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

The Telecommunications Technical Officer will be responsible for a range of technical duties including:

   •    Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of microwave, telemetry, multiplexing, satellite, and other electromagnetic communication systems.

   •    Integration and configuration of telecommunications systems with computer hardware, software, operating systems, and related devices.

   •    Setting up and maintaining telecommunications systems for voice, data, and video communication.

   •    Monitoring and testing telecommunications networks to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

   •    Assisting with the design, development, and resolution of network faults and performance issues.

   •    Maintaining accurate technical documentation, logs, and equipment records in accordance with company procedures and industry standards.

   •    Providing technical support and guidance to internal teams and clients.

   •    Coordinating with vendors and service providers regarding equipment procurement, installation, and service agreements.

Qualification & experience

Skills and Qualifications

   •    Diploma or higher qualification in Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.

   •    At least 1 year of relevant industry experience in telecommunications or network engineering.

   •    Good knowledge of RF systems, fibre-optic technologies, network protocols, and telecommunications infrastructure.

   •    Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.

   •    Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
