<p>We are seeking an experienced Human Resource Adviser to support our workforce and strengthen our human resources systems across our office, workshop and project operations.</p><p>The Human Resource Adviser will provide professional advice and operational support across recruitment, employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, training, workplace policies and employment compliance.</p><br><h3>Benefits</h3><ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>A permanent, full-time position with an established structural steel business.</li><li>A varied role supporting office, workshop and project-based employees.</li><li>Competitive remuneration based on qualifications and experience.</li><li>The opportunity to improve human resource systems and contribute to workforce growth.</li><li>A professional and supportive working environment.</li></ul><br><h3>Task & responsibilities</h3><ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>Advise management and employees on human resource policies, workplace relations and employment conditions.</li><li>Coordinate recruitment activities, including workforce planning, advertising, candidate screening, interviewing and onboarding.</li><li>Prepare employment contracts, position descriptions, policies, procedures and employee correspondence.</li><li>Maintain accurate personnel files, employment records and human resource information systems.</li><li>Provide advice on applicable awards, employment legislation and workplace policies.</li><li>Support performance-management, probation, disciplinary and grievance processes.</li><li>Assist managers in resolving workplace issues and improving employee performance and engagement.</li><li>Coordinate employee inductions, training, professional development and competency records.</li><li>Monitor leave, attendance, licences, qualifications and mandatory workplace documentation.</li><li>Assist with remuneration reviews, salary benchmarking and employee-benefit arrangements.</li><li>Support workforce planning for workshop, project, engineering and administrative teams.</li><li>Coordinate employee consultation and workplace change processes.</li><li>Assist with workers’ compensation, return-to-work and workplace health and safety matters.</li><li>Prepare workforce reports and recommend improvements to human resource systems and practices.</li><li>Ensure employment practices comply with workplace laws and organisational requirements.</li></ul><br><h3>Qualification & experience</h3><p>Applicants must have:</p><ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>a relevant bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business, Employment Relations or a related discipline;</li><li>at least two years of relevant professional human resources experience;</li><li>sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, modern awards and human resource practices;</li><li>demonstrated experience in recruitment, employee relations and performance management;</li><li>strong written communication and document-preparation skills;</li><li>the ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive workplace matters;</li><li>excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills; and</li><li>proficiency in Microsoft Office and human resource information systems.</li></ul><p>Experience within structural steel, manufacturing, engineering, construction or another project-based industrial environment will be highly regarded.</p>
