Western Sydney Formwork is seeking an experienced and suitably qualified Surveyor to join our team on a full-time basis.The successful candidate will work across construction projects throughout Sydney and will be responsible for undertaking surveying, setting-out and measurement activities to support the accurate delivery of &nbsp;construction works.Working closely with project managers, site supervisors, engineers and construction teams, you will ensure that works are accurately set out and completed in accordance with approved plans, specifications and project requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesYour duties will include:<ul><li>Reviewing and interpreting construction plans, engineering drawings and project specifications;</li><li>Conducting site surveys and setting out building works, including formwork and concrete structural elements;</li><li>Establishing and maintaining survey control points, benchmarks, gridlines and reference points;</li><li>Setting out the location and levels of structural elements, including slabs, walls, columns, beams and other concrete structures;</li><li>Taking accurate measurements, levels and coordinates throughout different stages of construction;</li><li>Using surveying instruments and equipment, including total stations, GPS/GNSS equipment and laser levels;</li><li>Performing calculations and preparing survey data required for construction activities;</li><li>Conducting as-built surveys and verifying completed works against approved drawings and specifications;</li><li>Identifying and reporting discrepancies between site conditions, survey data and construction drawings;</li><li>Preparing and maintaining accurate survey records, reports, sketches and related documentation;</li><li>Liaising with project managers, engineers, supervisors and site personnel to resolve surveying and set-out matters;</li><li>Ensuring surveying equipment is properly maintained, calibrated and used correctly;</li><li>Assisting construction teams with technical surveying and measurement requirements as required; and</li><li>Complying with workplace health and safety requirements and site procedures at all times.</li></ul>Skills and ExperienceTo be considered for this position, you should have:<ul><li>Relevant qualifications in Surveying, Spatial Science or a related discipline;</li><li>Demonstrated 3-5 years of experience working as a Surveyor, preferably within the construction, civil or formwork industry;</li><li>Strong experience in construction surveying and site set-out;</li><li>Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and engineering drawings;</li><li>Experience using modern surveying equipment</li><li>Sound knowledge of surveying principles, techniques and calculations;</li><li>Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills;</li><li>High level of accuracy and attention to detail;</li><li>Good communication and organisational skills;</li><li>Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a construction team; and</li><li>A reliable and professional approach to work.</li></ul>What We Offer<ul><li>Full-time, permanent employment;</li><li>Competitive salary;</li><li>Work across a variety of construction projects throughout Sydney;</li><li>Opportunity to work closely with an experienced construction and formwork team; and</li><li>A stable role with an established Sydney formwork business.</li></ul><h2>&nbsp;</h2>

About the position:Due to a high volume of ongoing and upcoming land development and construction projects, Axis Surveys is seeking a full-time Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join our professional team in Brisbane.The position plays an important role in supporting the delivery of surveying and land development projects by converting field survey data and project information into accurate, detailed and industry-compliant drawings and plans.The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, checking and amending a range of surveying and construction-related plans, including boundary, easement, subdivision, contour and setout plans, using CAD and specialised drafting software. The role involves working closely with surveyors and other technical team members to interpret field data, project requirements and technical information and translate these into accurate drawings and documentation.The position requires strong technical drafting skills, attention to detail and proficiency with drafting software, together with an understanding of the standards and requirements applicable to surveying, land development and construction projects.&nbsp; <h3>Benefits</h3>A salary of AUD $75,000 to $85,000 per annum plus superannuation will be offered to the successful candidate.&nbsp; <h3>Task & responsibilities</h3>Key Responsibilities<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="text-align:justify;">Draft detailed surveying plans, including boundary, easement, subdivision, contour and setout plans, using AutoCAD, Carlson, 12D and other specialised drafting software.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Interpret field survey data, measurements, field notes and project information to prepare accurate technical drawings and plans.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Work closely with surveyors and other technical team members to clarify survey information and ensure drawings accurately reflect field data and project requirements.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Check, review and amend drawings and plans to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with project specifications and applicable drafting and surveying requirements.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Update and revise existing plans to incorporate new survey data, design changes and other project information.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Prepare technical drawings and supporting documentation for land development, subdivision and construction projects.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Assist surveyors and other technical team members with the preparation and coordination of surveying plans, drawings and project documentation.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Follow established quality assurance and document control procedures in accordance with the company's Quality Management System (QMS).&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Maintain accurate drawing and project records, ensuring plans and associated files are correctly named, saved, updated and stored within company systems.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Maintain knowledge of relevant Australian drafting standards, surveying requirements and industry practices applicable to the preparation of technical drawings and plans.</li></ul>&nbsp; <h3>Qualification & experience</h3>To be successful in this role, you will need:<ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="text-align:justify;">A Diploma or higher qualification in Drafting, Civil Construction Design, Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">At least one year of relevant experience in a drafting position, preferably within surveying, civil construction, land development or a related technical environment.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software, with experience using Carlson, 12D or other specialised surveying and drafting software highly regarded.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Ability to interpret survey data, measurements and technical information and accurately translate this information into drawings and plans.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Strong technical drawing skills, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Good organisational skills and the ability to manage drafting tasks and priorities across multiple projects.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with surveyors and other technical team members.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Knowledge of relevant Australian drafting standards and surveying requirements is advantageous.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Experience within the surveying, civil construction or land development sector will be highly regarded.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Familiarity with ABS or similar operational/project systems used within a surveying environment is desirable.&nbsp;</li></ul>&nbsp;How to apply:We welcome applications from all candidates and encourage applications from Australian citizens and permanent residents.
