Unique Health Products is on the lookout for a friendly and organised Kitchen & General Areas Coordinator to step into a brand-new kitchen as part of our exciting move to our purpose-built facility in Aura (Caloundra)!

We’re a well-established Sunshine Coast business with 30 years of success and over 190 team members, currently operating across 6000sqm of Warehousing space in Aura. As Australia’s leading distributor of natural, organic, and eco-friendly health products, we have a strong appetite to excel.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and friendly, all rounder, hospitality professional who thrives on customer service and is looking to make a difference. Reporting directly to the Head of People, Culture & Safety, this position is responsible to manage the onsite kitchen and general areas, serving meals and coffee to your work colleagues daily. That's right.........no general public!

Your day-to-day includes:

  • Making Chai from scratch, Coffee (barista style using our state-of-the-art coffee machine), Iced tea, and Hot Chocolate for the whole team 

  • Preparing staff meals (including heating meals) for 4 designated morning tea and 4 designated lunch breaks 

  • Keeping the kitchen and common areas clean, maintained and well presented 

  • Ensuring kitchen equipment is regularly cleaned and kept in good working order 

  • Cleaning dishes and tables after each break 

  • Coordinating the company canteen, including snack food sales, inventory management and stocktake

The best part? No weekend work and a great work-life balance, with hours of Monday to Friday, 6:30am start until 3:00pm.

Skills & Experience 

It is highly regarded if you: 

  • Have had previous supervisor experience in a cafe environment where you have been hands on in all areas of the business not just on the floor.

  • Have previous barista experience (preferable but not essential)

  • Enjoy food and food preparation

  • Have a natural flair for Customer Service with great communication and an inclusive, personable nature

  • Are organised, detail-oriented and have a keen eye for cleanliness

  • Hold yourself in high regard for presentation of yourself and your workspace

  • Work well within a team 

  • Can work efficiently under time pressure and meet deadlines

  • Can exercise discretion and confidentiality - you’ll be at the hub of the workplace and privy to all kinds of conversations
