About Us
Hikari Ramen & Donburi is a modern Japanese restaurant located within Sydney International Airport, specialising in authentic Japanese cuisine including handcrafted ramen, donburi, hot meals and traditional side dishes.
Operating in a fast-paced international airport environment, we are committed to delivering freshly prepared Japanese food using quality ingredients and traditional cooking techniques.
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Cook to join our professional kitchen team on a full-time basis.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Preparing and cooking a range of Japanese dishes including ramen, donburi, noodles, rice dishes and side menus
• Preparing broths, sauces, toppings and fresh ingredients for daily kitchen operation
• Monitoring food quality, consistency, presentation and portion control
• Assisting with menu preparation and daily kitchen coordination
• Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
• Managing stock rotation, ingredient preparation and inventory support
• Working efficiently in a high-volume commercial kitchen environment within Sydney Airport
Requirements:
• Relevant qualification or at least 3 years relevant work experience
• At least 1-year full-time recent work experience in a commercial kitchen environment
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures
• Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
