La Costa Hospitality trading as Cielo Rooftop is seeking an experienced and motivated Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at our vibrant rooftop venue in Fortitude Valley, QLD.
Salary: $77,000 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications and venue standards.
• Assist in the planning and development of menus, specials and seasonal offerings.
• Monitor food quality, portion control and presentation standards.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation and workplace health and safety.
• Manage stock rotation, inventory control and minimise food wastage.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure efficient service.
• Supervise and assist in training junior kitchen staff as required.
Skills and Experience Required
• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
• At least two years of relevant full-time work experience as a Chef.
• Experience working in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality venue.
• Knowledge of Mediterranean and contemporary Australian cuisine is highly regarded.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to maintaining high culinary and customer service standards.
