Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items to cafe standards, ensuring quality, consistency, and presentation

• Assist with the preparation of breakfast, brunch, lunch, and cabinet food offerings

• Prepare ingredients including chopping, portioning, and basic food preparation tasks

• Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining high food quality standards

• Support daily kitchen operations and work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations, equipment, and food storage areas

• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures

• Assist with stock rotation, storage, labelling, and inventory control

• Monitor stock levels and communicate ordering requirements to management

• Contribute to menu consistency and help maintain the cafe's reputation for quality food

• Assist with opening, closing, and end-of-day kitchen cleaning duties

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 Year of experience as a Cook in a cafe, restaurant, or commercial kitchen

• Experience preparing breakfast, brunch, and lunch menu items preferred

• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment

• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices

• Reliable, organised, and able to work effectively within a team

• Positive attitude and strong attention to detail

• Availability to work full-time, including weekends and public holidays as required
