The Lazy Lobster Restaurant in Labrador (Unit 2/300 Marine Parade, Labrador, QLD 4215) is a charming eatery that embodies the essence of authentic seafood. Nestled in the heart of Labrador, QLD it offers a warm and inviting atmosphere with a breezy terrace and water views. We are looking for a full time Chef to join our team.

Lead, train, guide and inspire our kitchen team to deliver the best results
Supervise, and participate in, the preparation of all food items
Manage kitchen consumables, stock takes, ordering, cost control and budgeting
In consultation with all the Management team, develop, test, and introduce new menu items
Compliance with OH&S and Food Safety standards
Work alongside the Restaurant Manager as required
Possess excellent relevant post-secondary qualifications, to at least a hospitality Certificate IV/Diploma level.
Have at least 2 to 3 years professional experience since earning your qualifications.
Are available across the working week including late shifts as may be necessary from time to time.
Offer proven ability to prioritise, set goals and have the determination to achieve them.
Possess a through understanding of food safety OH&S and HACCP.
Understand cost control, time management, prioritisation, and cost-efficient procurement practices.
Have substantial experience working in a similar role.
Be an excellent people manager able to get the most out of your team.
Well versed in a broad cuisine offer across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and beyond
