Qualified Cook

OZSUB PTY LTD is seeking an experienced and qualified Cook to join its kitchen team on a full-time basis. Operating the popular Rosas and Ballyhoo venues at The Lawns National Triangle, the business offers a vibrant hospitality environment focused on quality food and customer service. The successful candidate will primarily work at Rosas Canberra while occasionally supporting operations across associated venues as required.

Task & responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present meals in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and portion control
• Prepare ingredients and assist with daily food preparation requirements
• Monitor stock levels and assist with stock rotation, storage and ordering supplies
• Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements
• Assist in training and supporting junior kitchen staff where required
• Support the Chef with daily kitchen operations, food preparation planning and service coordination
• Work efficiently during busy service periods, including weekends and public holidays
• Work collaboratively with management and front-of-house staff to ensure excellent customer service

Qualification & experience

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher qualification
• At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in a commercial kitchen environment
• Strong culinary skills with experience preparing western-style cuisine
• Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and sanitation practices
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Availability to work weekends and public holidays
