Chef

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our busy kitchen team at Soprano's Pizza Pasta & Grill in Traralgon. You will prepare high-quality Italian dishes, including our signature pizzas, pastas, grilled items, and daily specials in a fast-paced, popular local restaurant

Task & responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a wide variety of Italian dishes including pizzas, pastas, risottos, grilled meats, salads, and specials
• Maintain consistent high standards in food quality, taste, presentation, and portion control
• Work efficiently during peak hours for dine-in and takeaway orders
• Follow strict food safety, hygiene, and cleaning procedures
• Assist with stock control, ordering fresh ingredients, and reducing waste
• Contribute ideas for daily specials and menu development
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house team

Qualification & experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Chef or Cook in a busy pizza, pasta, or Italian restaurant kitchen
• Relevant qualification (Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent)
• Ability to work under pressure and handle high-volume orders
• Availability for evening and weekend shifts
