We are currently seeking experienced and motivated team members for the roles of Chef, Cook,Kitchen Hand and Retail Sales Assistant, to join our team and support the ongoing operation and growth of our business.
Job Summary:
- Position: Chef/Cook/Kitchen Hand/Retail Sales Assistant
- Location: Wyndham, WA 6740
- Employment Type: Full-time (38 hours per week)
1. Chef: AUD $90,000 per annum
Responsibilities:
- Designing and updating menus in collaboration with leadership, forecasting ingredient expenses alongside labor costs, and managing the procurement of kitchen stock as required.
- Overseeing the culinary standards and visual appeal of all outputs from initial mise-en-place through to final plating to guarantee consistency with establishment benchmarks.
- Preparing and cooking a range of dishes including mains, side dishes, appetisers, and daily specials in accordance with recipes and kitchen standards
- Adjusting seasoning, cooking times, heat levels, and presentation as required to achieve consistent flavour, texture, and appearance across all dishes
- Inspecting ingredients upon delivery and prior to use to ensure freshness, quality, and compliance with food safety requirements
- Liaising with management and kitchen team members to resolve culinary bottlenecks to support efficient kitchen operations and service delivery.
- Instructing team members on and strictly upholding regulatory food safety policies and sanitization protocols, including food storage, stock rotation, and cleaning requirements.
- Monitoring ingredient usage during service, minimising waste, and assisting with stock control and inventory management
- Receiving food deliveries, checking items against orders, and ensuring products are correctly labelled, stored, frozen, or preserved as required
- Maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment in accordance with workplace health and food safety standards
- Assisting with training and supervising kitchen staff where required to support day-to-day kitchen operations
2. Cook: AUD $75,000 per annum
Responsibilities:
- Inspecting ingredients on arrival and prior to use to ensure they meet freshness, quality, and food safety standards
- Operating kitchen equipment safely and managing thermal controls on ovens, grills, and specialized apparatus to achieve correct cooking results for different menu items.
- Preparing and cooking a range of dishes following recipes and culinary techniques, including mains, sides, and daily specials. Make necessary adjustments to seasoning, cooking time, and heat levels to ensure consistent flavour and texture
- Measuring ingredients accurately, allocate standardized serving sizes, and execute attractive plating by incorporating appropriate dressings, reductions, and finishes.
- Organising and secure both raw and prepared inventory within climate-regulated environments, following food safety guidelines and rotation practices
- Assisting with receiving food deliveries, checking items against orders, and labelling and storing products correctly
- Checking ingredient usage during service to reduce waste and support efficient kitchen operations
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic work environment in compliance with food safety and workplace health regulations.
3. Kitchen Hand: AUD $75,000 per annum
Responsibilities:
- Sterilizing and wiping down culinary workspaces, ingredient prep stations, and dishwashing zones in accordance with hygiene and food safety standards
- Scrubbing and sanitizing pots, pans, handheld tools, and dinnerware utilized throughout the establishment used in food preparation and service
- Unloading, moving, measuring, and inspecting incoming stock and raw materials for correct storage and use
- Executing initial prep work for burger ingredients, which involves rinsing, slicing, and measuring out produce and related components.
- Aiding in the composition of burgers, fresh greens, and accompanying side orders according to kitchen standards.
- Cooking, toasting, heating, and preparing simple food items such as burgers, chips, salad and side dishes as directed
- Bagging and boxing meals and drinks destinados for off-site consumption or cafeteria-style presentation.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of all kitchen and food preparation areas during service
4. Retail Sales Assistant: AUD $71,550 per annum
Responsibilities:
- Greeting customers, determining their specific requirements to assist with menu selections, and advising on our product range, preparation wait times, and dietary care.
- Explaining menu items, meal options, pricing, add-ons, and promotions to customers and providing friendly customer service
- Facilitating the sale of food and beverages including burgers, chips, drinks, and other menu items in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Processing customer payments using cash, EFTPOS, and other payment methods, and issuing receipts as required
- Assisting with stock control including monitoring stock levels, replenishing front-of-house items, and participating in stocktakes when required
- Restocking and displaying food, beverage, packaging, and service items to ensure the service area remains organised and well presented
- Wrapping, packing takeaway orders and preparing food and beverage items for dine-in and takeaway service
- Maintaining cleanliness of the front counter, dining area, and service stations in accordance with hygiene and food safety standards

Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in hospitality, food service, kitchen operations, or customer service is preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment

- Good communication, organisational, and time management skills
- Ability to follow workplace procedures, hygiene, and food safety standards at all times
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods.
