Task & responsibilities

Lead daily kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food preparation and presentation

Innovate and refine a diverse Italian inspired menu

Estimate food and labour costs to support efficient kitchen operations

Uphold food quality standards by adhering to recipes and industry best practices.

Coordinate with front of the house staff regarding menu and service requirements

Source premium, fresh ingredients and prepare dishes from scratch

Demonstrate advanced cooking techniques to kitchen team members

Train, mentor and inspire kitchen staff to foster a collaborative team environment

Maintain rigorous food safety, cleanliness and hygiene standards

Adapt menu offering based on seasonal availability and supplier quality

Optimize ingredients usage to minimize waste and control costs.

Skilfully accommodate special dietary requirements.

Qualification & experience

Relevant qualifications in Commercial Cookery

Minimum two years of experience working in similar position

Australian Experience preferred, but not mandatory

Knowledge of  modern Italian cuisine with a passion for authentic dishes

Strong leadership abilities and team mentorship skills

Excellent organizational and time management capabilities

Flexible to work weekdays and weekends

Proficiency in cost control and kitchen inventory management
