The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of café-style meals and ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene, and kitchen operations within a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Task & responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of food items in accordance with menu specifications and company standards
- Assist in planning and preparing menu items and daily specials
- Season, portion, and present food to maintain quality and consistency standards
- Monitor food preparation and cooking processes to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations
- Inspect food supplies and ingredients to ensure quality and freshness
- Monitor stock levels and assist with stock rotation and storage of food supplies
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, food preparation areas, and work areas
- Assist in minimising food wastage and maintaining portion control standards
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
Qualification & experience
- Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or related field
- At least 1-year relevant work experience as a Cook
- Experience working in a busy café, restaurant, or hospitality environment
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment
- Good organisational and time management skills
