We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality meals, planning menus, supervising kitchen operations, maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, managing stock and ordering supplies, and ensuring efficient kitchen performance in a fast-paced environment.

Task & responsibilities

Plan and organise food preparation and cooking to ensure smooth kitchen operations 

• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes while maintaining consistency in taste and presentation 

• Plan menus, estimate food and labour costs, and order food supplies as required 

• Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation stages 

• Discuss food preparation and menu planning with management and kitchen staff 

• Demonstrate cooking techniques and advise kitchen staff on cooking procedures 

• Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain efficient workflow 

• Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and health regulations 

• Manage stock control, minimise food wastage, and maintain inventory records 

• Assist in developing new menu items and improving kitchen operations 

Qualification & experience

AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (or equivalent qualification) 

Minimum 1–3 years of relevant work experience as a Chef. 

Excellent communication and teamwork skills
