Cook

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Cook to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking quality meals, maintaining kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards, monitoring food stock levels, and ensuring all dishes are prepared and presented to a high standard. The role requires good time management, teamwork, and knowledge of food safety practices.

Task & responsibilities

Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality  

Regulating temperatures of cooking equipment  

Preparing and cooking a variety of vegetarian dishes  

Seasoning food during cooking  

Measuring and serving food portions, presenting meals, and applying sauces, gravies, and garnishes 

Safely storing food items in temperature-controlled storage areas 

Preparing meals in accordance with special dietary needs and requirements  

Assisting with menu planning and estimating food requirements  

Maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards  

Training and supervising kitchen staff and apprentices where required  

Qualification & experience

Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Cook (preferably in Indian/South Indian cuisine)  

Relevant qualification(Certificate III or IV) in Commercial Cookery (preferred)  

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment  

Strong knowledge of food safety standards  

Good communication and teamwork skills
