Chef

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing and cooking a variety of meals in accordance with menu requirements and portion standards
• Ensuring food quality, taste, consistency and presentation are maintained at a high standard
• Assisting with daily kitchen preparation, cooking and service operations
• Maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards within the kitchen
• Monitoring stock rotation and assisting with inventory control and ordering
• Minimising food wastage and ensuring efficient kitchen operations
• Working effectively during busy service periods, including evenings and weekends
• Supporting teamwork and maintaining smooth communication within the kitchen team

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or Hospitality preferred
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Chef in a restaurant, café or hospitality environment
• Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication, organisation and teamwork skills
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
• Valid Australian working rights
