Situated in the growing and vibrant community of Googong, just a short drive from Canberra, 3rd Space is a modern and fully licensed Stonegrill restaurant known for its quality food, welcoming atmosphere, and exceptional customer experience. We are currently looking for a passionate and motivated full-time Chef to join our team.

As a Chef at 3rd Space, you will work closely with the Head Chef and Kitchen Manager to deliver high-quality dishes while helping maintain smooth day-to-day kitchen operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in food presentation, and values teamwork, creativity, and consistency.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals to a consistently high standard
• Support the Head Chef and Kitchen Manager in day-to-day kitchen operations
• Monitor portion control, stock levels, and food costs
• Ensure food safety, hygiene, and quality standards are maintained at all times
• Mentor and support kitchen staff and apprentices
• Collaborate with management on menu development and daily specials
• Work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a similar Chef role
• Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or related field
• Passion for cooking, creativity, and high-quality food presentation
• Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
• Good understanding of food safety practices and kitchen operations
• Well-organised, proactive, and able to perform under pressure
• A genuine interest in contributing to a growing, community-focused hospitality business
