Task & responsibilities

Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes in line with menu standards
Assist with food preparation and kitchen organisation
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen areas
Ensure proper storage and handling of food supplies and ingredients
Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health & safety procedures
Work closely with the Head Chef to support daily kitchen operations
Assist in menu development and creation of new dishes
Monitor portion control and minimise food wastage
Maintain consistency and quality in all food preparation

Qualification & experience

Previous experience as a Cook or Chef in a busy hospitality environment
Relevant trade qualification in Commercial Cookery
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Passion for food, creativity and maintaining high standards
Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
