Chef

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality dishes while maintaining excellent kitchen standards and supporting junior staff development.

Task & responsibilities

• preparing for service, which includes ensuring the kitchen is well stocked with the necessary ingredients, as well as cleaning, cutting and marinating food

• cooking and serving food, while coordinating with other kitchen staff and wait staff

• maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen

• creating new dishes and planning menus

• ensuring that dishes meet high standards at all stages of preparation and presentation

• hiring and training junior chefs

Qualification & experience

•  Cert IV or Diploma plus 1 year of work experience, or 3 years of work experience in lieu of qualification.

•  Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

•  Knowledge of food safety standards

•  Ability to build and contribute to a team working environment across the entire venue
