We are seeking an experienced and passionate Cook to join our kitcehn team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes according to our menu and standards, ensuring food quality, hygiene, and efficiency at all times.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical cooking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a team-oriented kitchen environment.

Task & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, season, and cook a variety of dishes using grills, ovens, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.
• Plan menus and estimate food requirements in consultation with the Head Chef / Manager.
• Examine food to ensure quality and consistency before serving.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment.
• Store food appropriately and monitor stock levels to minimise waste.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and occupational health regulations.
• Assist in developing new recipes and menu items based on seasonal availability and customer preferences.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff where required.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area at all times

Qualification & experience

Qualifications and Experience 

• Relevant Cookery Qualifications 
• At least two years of relevant work experience as a Cook or similar role 
• Must be able to work anytime in our 24 hour kitchens. Includes late nights and weekends.
• Proven ability to prepare a diverse range of dishes in a commercial kitchen;
• Sound knowledge of food hygiene, WHS, and HACCP principles;
• Ability to work under pressure and within a team in a fast-paced environment;
• Good communication and time management skills.
