Baker

Spoota Pty Ltd trading as BUNO Coffee is seeking a full-time Baker to be based at its café  in Woolloongabba, Queensland. The role will involve preparing and baking fresh bread, rolls, buns and other baked goods from raw ingredients, supporting the café’s daily retail and customer offering.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare doughs and baking mixes from raw ingredients for bread, rolls, buns and other baked goods at the café premises.
• Mix, knead, shape, prove, bake and finish baked products using appropriate baking methods, equipment and quality standards.
• Monitor baking times, oven temperatures, product quality, ingredient use, stock levels and daily production requirements for the café’s on-site retail sale and service.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, cleaning, storage and workplace health and safety procedures in the café’s baking area.

What we need

• Minimum one year of relevant experience as a baker or in a similar hands-on baking role.
• Ability to prepare bread, rolls, buns and baked goods from raw ingredients using proper baking techniques.
• Good time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage daily café baking requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, food safety awareness and ability to work in a busy café environment.
