Restaurant Manager

Two Hungry Guys is seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy and fast-growing hospitality venue in Newton, South Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the restaurant team, maintaining high standards of customer service, ensuring smooth kitchen and front-of-house coordination, and driving business growth through efficient operational management.

This is a full-time position suitable for an experienced hospitality professional who is passionate about customer experience, team leadership, and restaurant operations in a fast-paced environment.

Task & responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including opening and closing procedures
• Supervise front-of-house and kitchen staff to ensure excellent customer service standards
• Recruit, train, roster, and mentor staff members
• Monitor food quality, presentation, and service standards
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, workplace health and safety, and licensing requirements
• Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally
• Manage stock ordering, inventory control, and supplier coordination
• Monitor labour costs, wages, and operational expenses
• Assist in implementing marketing and promotional activities
• Coordinate with chefs and kitchen staff to maintain efficient service during peak trading periods
• Maintain cleanliness, presentation, and operational efficiency across all restaurant areas
• Prepare operational reports and assist management in achieving business objectives

Qualification & experience

• At least 1–2 years of relevant experience as a Restaurant Manager, Café Manager, or Hospitality Supervisor
• Relevant qualification in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Sound knowledge of food safety and workplace health and safety regulations
• Experience with staff rostering, inventory management, and POS systems
• Flexible availability including weekends and evenings
