Waiter

Public Quarter (Purple Grove Trust & Onicap Trust & Ultivite Trust) is looking for an experienced Waiter to join our work family in our Brisbane CBD Cafe.

We are a well-established busy restaurant & cafe in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD. We offer a flexible working week that allows our team to get the best out of each other, work and lifestyle.

We only operate Monday – Friday giving you a great work life balance which is so rare in this industry.

We work closely with our staff to help you up skill.

Looking for an experienced, passionate and hardworking individual. Must be able to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritise work as. We are looking for someone with a positive and enthusiastic personality.

Some duties of the role will include:

• Setting and arranging tables
• Greeting customers and presenting them with menus and beverage lists
• Taking orders and relaying them to kitchen and bar staff
• Serving food and beverages
• Opening bottles and pouring beverages
• Clearing tables and returning dishes and cutlery to kitchen
• Removing empty bottles and used glasses from tables, and refilling and replacing glasses
• Collecting payments for sales and operating point of sales machines and cash registers
• May recommend wines to complement food
• Keeping up with demand during peak times
• Complying with Health and Safety regulations
• Opening and closing procedures

Skills and qualifications required for this role:

• AQF Certificate II or III, or 1 year of full-time work experience
• Initiative and ability to work hard and think smart in a busy environment
• Commitment to the long-term role

Monday – Friday hours. Must be available mornings and afternoons.
