Full time
Prepare and cook food, supervise kitchen operations, and ensure food quality, presentation and hygiene standards are maintained in a commercial kitchen environment.
Plan and organise food preparation across all kitchen sections and ensure service is delivered efficiently and to a high standard
Prepare, cook and present a variety of dishes demonstrating skill, consistency and attention to detail
Monitor food quality at all stages of preparation and presentation and ensure compliance with menu standards
Contribute to menu development and specials, and assist with food costing, portion control and minimisation of waste
Manage ordering, stock control and storage, ensuring adequate supplies and proper stock rotation
Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including training, allocating duties and maintaining workflow during service
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment
Liaise with front-of-house and management to ensure smooth service and resolve any operational issues promptly
Diploma level qualification and 1 year relevant work experience.
Alternatively 3 years work experience in lieu will be considered.
