OMNAMAH3 PTY LTD T/A Smokey Flames Cafe & Grill is seeking a motivated and experienced Cook to join our busy kitchen team in Clarkson, Western Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking quality meals while maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction.

Task & responsibilities

• Prepare, season, and cook a variety of food items in accordance with menu requirements
• Assist in planning menus and estimating food and labour costs
• Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation standards
• Ensure all food preparation and storage complies with food safety and hygiene regulations
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Store food appropriately and maintain stock rotation procedures
• Assist with ordering and stock control to minimise waste
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, food preparation, and storage areas
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service
• Assist in developing new menu items and specials where required

Qualification & experience

• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 1 years of relevant work experience
• Previous experience working in a café, restaurant, or commercial kitchen environment
• Sound knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
• Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Flexible availability including weekends and public holidays
