We are seeking a qualified & passionate Cook to join the busy kitchen team at JAANA PTY LTD t/a Kesari – Tarneit. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, efficiency & professionalism to maintain the high standards of food quality & customer service expected by our patrons.

Task & responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present a variety of Indian dishes (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian).
• Ensure food is cooked and served according to restaurant quality standards and health regulations.
• Manage daily food preparation and assist in stock control and ordering.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and compliance with food safety standards.
• Support senior chefs and kitchen staff during peak hours.
• Assist in developing new menu items and improving existing recipes.

Qualification & experience

• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).
• Minimum 1 years’ experience as a Cook/Chef in a commercial kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of Indian spices, tandoor operation, and traditional cooking techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and within a team.
• Strong commitment to hygiene, safety, and presentation standards.
