$75,000 - $90,000 Annual

The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning menus, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and hygiene. 

The Chef will work closely with Managers, Dietitians, and kitchen staff to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Task & responsibilities

  • Planning Menus, Design and plan diverse and appealing menus, considering seasonal availability and customer preferences.
  • Cost Management, Estimate food and labor costs, manage budgets, and order necessary food supplies.
  • Quality Control, Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and excellence.
  • Collaboration, Discuss food preparation issues and strategies with Managers, Dietitians, and kitchen and waiting staff.
  • Cooking Techniques, Demonstrate advanced cooking techniques and advise on proper cooking procedures.
  • Food Preparation, Prepare and cook food, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
  • Hygiene Compliance, Explain and enforce hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Staff Training, Select and train kitchen staff as needed, fostering a collaborative and efficient team.
  • Food Preservation, Freeze and preserve foods, ensuring proper storage and minimizing waste.


Qualification & experience

  • Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role
  • Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Creativity and ability to develop new recipes and menus
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Leadership skills and ability to train and motivate staff
