The successful candidates will work closely with the kitchen team to prepare quality meals, maintain consistency, and support daily kitchen operations including tandoor cooking, curry preparation, food presentation, and stock control.

Task & responsibilities

Planning menus and preparing authentic Indian dishes including curries, biryani, tandoori items, appetisers, and freshly baked naan breads

Preparing, seasoning, marinating, cooking, and presenting food according to restaurant standards

Monitoring food quality, portion control, and presentation during service periods

Assisting in supervising kitchen operations and coordinating kitchen workflow

Operating commercial kitchen equipment including tandoor ovens and cooking appliances

Maintaining stock rotation, inventory control, and assisting with ordering supplies

Training and assisting junior kitchen staff when required

Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of kitchen and food preparation areas

Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations

Monitoring kitchen equipment and reporting maintenance requirements

Working efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining consistency in taste and presentation

Qualification & experience

Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or related field is mandatory 

Minimum experience in Indian cuisine and tandoor cooking preferred 

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment 

Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices 

Passion for quality food and customer satisfaction 

Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
