LONSDALE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT PTY LTD trading as Comfort Apartments Melbourne Central is seeking an experienced and motivated Accommodation and Hospitality Manager to oversee the daily operations of our apartment accommodation business located in the heart of Melbourne CBD.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who is passionate about guest satisfaction, operational excellence, and team leadership. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing accommodation services, improving customer experiences, supervising staff, and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the property.

Task & responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accommodation facility to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Coordinate front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest service operations.
  • Monitor occupancy levels, reservations, and accommodation availability to maximise revenue and operational performance.
  • Develop and implement customer service standards to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
  • Handle guest enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and manage hospitality staff to maintain strong team performance.
  • Prepare staff rosters and manage workforce requirements according to operational needs.
  • Maintain budgets, financial records, operational reports, and expenditure controls.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and hospitality industry standards.
  • Coordinate maintenance and property presentation to ensure cleanliness, safety, and quality standards are maintained at all times.
  • Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and service providers as required.
  • Implement promotional and operational strategies to improve guest experience and business performance.

Qualification & experience

  • Proven experience in accommodation management, hospitality operations, or a related supervisory role, with at least one year of relevant experience.
  • Sound knowledge of accommodation operations, guest service standards, property management, and day-to-day hospitality administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and coordinate staff, maintain operational efficiency, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with guests, staff, and service providers.
  • Well-developed organisational, administrative, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Experience in operational planning, budgeting, stock control, reporting, and resource management will be highly regarded.
  • Relevant qualification in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field, including at least a one-year diploma or equivalent qualification.
