Marlo's Blacktown is seeking a reliable and motivated Chef to support our kitchen team in delivering high-quality food and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. This role involves assisting chefs with food preparation, maintaining kitchen hygiene standards, and ensuring smooth day-to-day kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

• Assist the chef with daily food preparation (washing, cutting, weighing ingredients)
• Prepare basic menu items under the chef’s direction • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, equipment, and utensils
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and WHS procedures at all times • Assist with plating and presentation during service
• Receive, check, and store deliveries correctly (FIFO)
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the chef • Dispose of waste properly and support recycling procedures
• Clean and sanitise kitchen tools, benches, and floors
• Support chefs during busy service periods
• Assist with opening and closing kitchen procedures
• Comply with company policies and kitchen standards
• Assist in maintaining kitchen organisation and efficiency
Founded in 2024, Marlo’s All Day is a vibrant all-day dining destination offering brunch, lunch, bistro favourites, specialty coffee, and a self-serve dessert bar. We proudly source fresh, high-quality produce from local suppliers and sustainable farms, with expertly roasted coffee by Ona Coffee. Open 7 days from 9am till late, located on the Ground Floor of Blacktown Workers Club.
