We are looking for a Waiter who can be part of a team who are working towards making our Italian restaurant the ultimate Italian destination. 

Job description:

You will attend to our customers in our Italian restaurant – greeting and seating guests, taking orders, and guiding them through traditional dishes and daily specials with confidence and hospitality. You will ensure a smooth dining experience by coordinating with the kitchen, maintaining table settings, and upholding the restaurant’s standards of quality, efficiency, and authentic Italian dining culture.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables, creating an inviting and authentic Italian dining atmosphere.
  • Present menus, explain traditional dishes, and offer recommendations based on guest preferences.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests and dietary needs are clearly communicated to the kitchen.
  • Serve meals and beverages with attention to timing, presentation, and guest experience.
  • Promote daily specials, regional dishes, and dishes to enhance the dining experience and support sales.
  • Prepare tables with cutlery, glassware and condiments according to restaurant standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including resetting tables efficiently between guests.
  • Coordinate closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of dishes.
  • Process payments, manage POS transactions, and provide accurate change or receipts.
  • Respond to guest enquiries or concerns with professionalism and genuine hospitality.
  • Support opening and closing procedures, including setting up the dining room, polishing glassware, and restocking service stations
